Originally called
the Uganda Children's Charity Foundation, Children of Uganda was
founded in 1995. As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization
headquartered in the United States, Children of Uganda works in
conjunction with local non-governmental organizations in Uganda
to provide education and support to over 600 children in need. We
have administrative offices near Washington, DC and Kampala, the capital
of Uganda, where programs are administered by local
staff members dispersed in two districts of Uganda.
The mission
of Children of Uganda is to support and empower hundreds of orphans
and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive
lives. Our vision is that all children in Uganda receive an
education to become healthy, productive members of their community
who assume leadership roles and positively impact Ugandan society.
